ELECTRONIC FUNDS TRANSFER (EFT)

EFT is an inter-bank electronic system that allows for the transfer of electronic funds into your account held at any local commercial bank. 

Features of the EFT include:

• Unlimited amount deposited into client’s account.

• Available daily between 8am to 3pm.

• Transactions are processed quickly, often within two (2) hours.

• Secure.

• Reliable and confidential.

• Processed at all local commercial banks.

CHEQUE

• All cheque payment is made via Bank of Guyana cheques at the head office and Bartica branch. GBTI cheques are issued at Port Kaituma branch.

• Acceptable at any local commercial bank.

• All payments to companies are processed via cheque or EFT.

• Excess of cash over each branch’s cash limit is paid via cheque or EFT.

• Provides a paper trail of transactions.

CASH PAYMENTS

• Access up to $1,500,000 on the spot at the Head Office and Bartica Branch Office.

• Access up to $2,000,000 at the Port Kaituma Branch Office and the Marudi Operations.

• Access up to $5,000,000 at the Mahdia Operations.

FOREIGN CURRENCY (USD)

• Miners must have a gold miner’s ‘foreign currency’ account at a local commercial bank. 

• Access up to 10 % foreign currency on your net gold sales.
