Pursuant to Sections 4 (d) and 9(1) of the Guyana Gold Board Act, Chapter 66:01, the exclusive authority to export gold from Guyana is vested in the Guyana Gold Board (GGB) and its authorised agents, namely individuals or entities that hold a valid Dealer’s Licence issued in accordance with the requirements of the Act and the accompanying regulations. 

In keeping with these statutory mandates, only the GGB and licensed gold dealers are permitted to engage in the exportation of gold. All other persons or entities are strictly prohibited from doing so, and any such activity undertaken without authorisation constitutes a breach of the law, subject to penalties under the Act.
